After the
examination results came, a session was organized with the parents on March 30,
in which the children were discussed about the previous session and the
upcoming session. The results of the children are very good. Heartfelt thanks
to all the teachers who helped these children.
In Samagra, children's teeth were checked, dental kits were given and a session was taken on teeth and mouth hygiene by Dr. Ritu Naithani, a dentist at the government hospital in Premnagar.
Dr. Garima
Naithani, who is a doctor in the government hospital of Barkot (Uttarakashi),
also took a session on general hygiene for the children. In this session, the
children were taught the benefits of cleaning their hair, skin, nails, hands
and feet told about.
Bottles of
hand sanitizer were also given to all the children by Samagra, so that if water
was not available, they could clean their hands before eating.
On 23rd March 2024, Holi celebration in Samagra, the children danced on many Holi songs. Volunteers associated with Samagra also presented Holi songs. Everyone celebrated Holi with joy and enjoyed the special Holi sweet Gujiya.
20th March World Sparrow Day 2024 and World Oral Health Day 2024 were organized in Samagra. The children of Samagra were made aware on both the subjects. The children took great interest and promised that they will definitely make their families aware as well.
There will be a session with the dentist soon regarding cleaning and safety of mouth and teeth.
On World Sparrow Day, an attempt was made to sensitize people by giving information about other birds also. The children promised that they will keep water for the birds, will not harm them and will keep the greenery.
I would like to introduce to you all a new volunteer of Samagra, Mrs. Anita Agnihotri. You have been providing your services every day for the last 1 month. Mrs. Anita has a gentle, polite, calm and dedicated personality. She has served as Head Mistress of Primary Section and Coordinator of Kindergarten in the city's famous school Ann Mary for 23 years. The whole is grateful to you and welcomes you.
