Samagra running various programmes for the underprivileged girls.

Samagra Centre is running various vocational training programmes for underprivileged girls and women.
36 girls are learning Basics of using a computer.
28 are undergoing Beautician training.
20 are learning Basic English.
Computers is taught by - Mrs. Deepti and Ms. Vishakha
Mrs. Sonika is imparting beautician training.
Mrs. Neetu Singh is teaching basic English to the girls and women who are illiterate in English.

SIHI Visits Samagra Tailoring Centre at Shastri Nagar Slum

Samagra concluded it's cutting and tailoring program which was running in Shastri Nagar slum for the past three and a half months. SIHI also joined us and appreciated Samagra's efforts.Twenty three girls and women were awarded certificates and sewing kits as a gift.Refreshments were also distributed.

SIHI Attends Yajna Cermony at Samagra Centre

Samagra organizes a Yajna cermony on the first Monday of every month but this time, SIHI was arriving at Samgra on Monday so this month's Yajna was organized on Tuesday (6/5/'14) so that they could also participate in it. Acharya Ved Vasu Shastri from the Lakshman Chowk Arya Samaj was the Brahma of the Yajna.

Good News from Samagra

Good  News
Samagra’s work is expanding. This year, during summer vacations, we are organizing many new programs at the Samagra premises. These programs are meant for the needy and deserving girls who belong to the economically weaker section of the society.
For the Computer Training (Basic) and the Beautician Training course, 40 and 30 candidates have registered respectively.
The program was inaugurated on May 1st , 2014, Thursday.
 Mr. Cyrill Rapheal, Chief Advisor of Shree Bhvneshwari Mahila Ashram, Anjani Sain, Devprayag was the chief guest. He lit the lamp and in his brief address, praised the efforts of Samagra for organizing such employment oriented training courses for girls from the weaker section of society.
Mrs. Suchitra Agrwal, Managing Trustee of Samagra briefed the gathering about the activities of Samagra in Dehradun and surrounding villages.
Mrs. Bimla Joshi, Dr. Beena Joshi, Dr. A.K.Gupta, Mr. N.K. Goel, Dr. Anil Bansal and some other distinguished citizens of Dehradun were present on this occasion.

The Samagra family organized this function and it was appreciated by all those present.
