27th March 2023, Beautician Inauguration:

2 Month beautician training program was inaugurated in Samagra by lighting a lamp by Mrs. Ranu Bisht, owner of Samay Sakshya Prakashan. Pooja, Sakshi, Vanshika, Neelu and Nandini gave beautiful dance performances. Ranu Bisht ji is the first woman to run a printing press from Uttarakhand and has a fearless, hardworking, confident personality. A total of 23 girls who either work in homes or help their mothers in Kothi work along with school are taking advantage of the program. An integral part of the whole, my co-friends handled the program very well. Thanks to Mrs. Mamta Khanduri, Sonal Singhal, Namita Mamgai, Sunita Jain, Seema Kukreti, Dr. Nisha Gera, Vandana, Hema Mehta, Tamanna and Sushila!

21/03/2023 Session with Dr.Srishti

Dr. Srishti Agarwal, who works at Subharti Medical College, had a very interesting and important session with our adolescent children. In which the causes and remedies of dental problems were discussed.

It was pleasure to interact with my likeminded friends from different fields. We discussed about the goals and our strategy for the new academic session. Activities Day in Every Saturday

Saturday is always a day of activity but due to annual exams, children are busy in studies. But except every single day, Samagra distributes nutritious food to them today, distributed Mango Fruity to all children.

With Dr. Srishti, who has served in Subharti Medical College and Hospital, an informative session on personal hygiene and health at the time of menstruation was organized in Samagra. The adolescent girls associated with Samagra also talked about their problems. It was a pleasurable experience for Dr. Srishti to spend time with underprivileged girls through such sessions. Every Saturday, Dr. Srishti has promised to take sessions on other topics as well.

Basantotsav exhibition held at Raj Bhavan

Like every year, from 3 - 5 March in this year also ‘Samagra’ organization participated in the annual Basantotsav exhibition held at Raj Bhavan and displayed its products. Samagra is a non-governmental organization, which has trained 1600 women for self-employment since 2009 by organizing programs like free sewing, cutting, beautician, computer in nearby villages for the upliftment of girls and women. In the past years, the institution has always been allotted a stall in Basantotsav. Free tuition is given to 50 children from the weaker sections in the organization with the income received from the exhibition of the products stitched by these women.
