SIHI students participated in a workshop hosted by Dr Sachin. They had the opportunity to interact with other local students who have struggled with stammering problems and ask them a lot of questions. SIHI students also practiced their active listening skills when communicating with stammering students and learned that communication is a two way phenomenon. The workshop was both educational and interactive, and helped to eliminate the misunderstanding and myths regarding the stammering problem.

SIHI VISITS BRAHMPURI..
SIHI students visited Brahampuri which is situated at Rishikesh. It is a colony set up to provide a place for people with leprosy to live and work. SIHI students watched them making items such as carpets and yoga mats. The students were impressed to find that, despite having been ostracized by society due to their disfigurement, people with leprosy can still find a means to make a living at Brahampuri.

Ramlal visited Samagra
He taught the Samagra and SIHI students the art of making puppets. They only used newspaper, a wooden stick and some strings to make beautiful animals. Puppetry offers a creative and engaging way to communicate with the audience and deliver health and social issues. The students enjoyed making their own puppets and thought it was a great learning experience.

Mr. Ramlal, a renowned puppeteer in Uttarakhand made a second visit to Samagra the next week. He helped the students to use their creativity to colour their puppets. The children enjoyed it a lot

The first picture is SIHI visiting Parmarth Niketan ashram in Rishikesh. Here they are sitting on the marble steps listening to bhajans before the aarti ceremony started. Starting at 7:30am the next day, SIHI volunteered with the Clean Himalaya NGO to pick up garbage that had blown onto the road from a nearby dumping site. Clean Himalaya hopes to restore this area, which had once been the site of popular spiritual retreats, to its original beauty. On the last day in Rishikesh, SIHI travelled further up the mountain and made a few stops along the extremely narrow and curvy road to admire the view. After a nauseating and nerve-racking drive to the mountain peak and 300 stairs later, SIHI was given a chance to rehydrate and recuperate in the refreshingly cool breeze at the Mata Kunjapuri mandir.
