SIHI Student with Samagra children and staff


23rd May- It was a day with mixed emotions. As Alok a SIHI member who was staying here for the last 3 weeks, was to leave on 24th May.  ‘Samagra’ staff and children organized a farewell event for him. Children performed many dances and expressed their emotions for Alok.  Alok was touched to see children’s performance. Mrs. Suchitra gifted him a hand embroidered table cloth made by Samagra staff as memento and Alok gave many gifts and chocolates to all the children.  It was concluded with a high tea.

Yajna at Samagra Centre


On Monday May 11, we invited Pandit Ved Vasu ji to perform a Yajna. Our Canadian guest Aalok Shah, an Arts and Science student from McMaster University, was the Yajman. Everyone, including students, beautician trainess, and Samagra staff had a very enjoyable experience. Prasad was distributed to the everyone as well.

Ms. Astha Uniyal Begins Volunteering at Samagra

Ms. Astha Uniyal who has just written her 10 + 2 exams, has began volunteering at Samagra. She tutors the children in Maths and Sciences. We thank her sincerely for her selfless contribution.

Samagra Donates for the Education of a Girl

Miss Pooja Paswan, a ambitious girl who works as a domestic help in the locality  and studying in class 10th needs some help in her studies.So Samagra donated a sum of Rs 2000 to buy her uniform , books and other things .

Inauguration of Beautician Training program And Distribution of Uniforms To The Gift Students of Weaker Section

Samagra started a beautician training program for under privileged girls. It was inaugurated by Dr. Nisha Gera, renowned gynecologist of Dehradun. 30 gilrs will be trained under women generation program run by us.
            Mrs. Abha Srivastava distributed uniform to the girls students in memory of her late husband Shree Vinay Srivastava.
            Dr. Nisha Gera, Smt. Suchitra Agarwal, Seema and vandana said few words to inspire girls to become selfsuficient for dignified life.
