, 22 April Earth Day Celebration!

World Earth Day 2024 was celebrated in Samagra.  Samagra always strives that the children coming here should become sensitive and responsible citizens towards their earth, environment, society and family.

All the children participated in the conversation and put forward ideas to save Mother Earth. , Dr. Nisha told all the children how to make enzymes for plants from green waste from home like onion, banana, orange and potato peels, told about the damage to the environment and biodiversity caused by the use of plastic. Sumit and Sapna gave information about Earth Day in English and Hindi. Some new children were given hand sanitizers. Children recited a beautiful poem.

English Dictionary Distributed to Children

Anita Agnihotri Madam, who has been working especially hard on the English and grammar of younger and older children for the last three months. When I talked to her, Anita Madam was satisfied with these children and the children also gave me very good feedback about them.

Today, English to Hindi dictionary was gifted to all the children, so that they can be taught how to consult the dictionary from the younger class itself.

 

After Children's Exam a Session with Parents

After the examination results came, a session was organized with the parents on March 30, in which the children were discussed about the previous session and the upcoming session. The results of the children are very good. Heartfelt thanks to all the teachers who helped these children.

Dental Health Camp

In Samagra, children's teeth were checked, dental kits were given and a session was taken on teeth and mouth hygiene by Dr. Ritu Naithani, a dentist at the government hospital in Premnagar.

Dr. Garima Naithani, who is a doctor in the government hospital of Barkot (Uttarakashi), also took a session on general hygiene for the children. In this session, the children were taught the benefits of cleaning their hair, skin, nails, hands and feet told about.

Bottles of hand sanitizer were also given to all the children by Samagra, so that if water was not available, they could clean their hands before eating.

Holi Celebration

On 23^rd March 2024, Holi celebration in Samagra, the children danced on many Holi songs. Volunteers associated with Samagra also presented Holi songs. Everyone celebrated Holi with joy and enjoyed the special Holi sweet Gujiya.

World Sparrow Day and World Oral Health Day 2024

20^th March World Sparrow Day 2024 and World Oral Health Day 2024 were organized in Samagra. The children of Samagra were made aware on both the subjects. The children took great interest and promised that they will definitely make their families aware as well.

There will be a session with the dentist soon regarding cleaning and safety of mouth and teeth.

On World Sparrow Day, an attempt was made to sensitize people by giving information about other birds also. The children promised that they will keep water for the birds, will not harm them and will keep the greenery. 

New Volunteer Mrs. Anita Agnihotri

 I would like to introduce to you all a new volunteer of Samagra, Mrs. Anita Agnihotri. You have been providing your services every day for the last 1 month. Mrs. Anita has a gentle, polite, calm and dedicated personality. She has served as Head Mistress of Primary Section and Coordinator of Kindergarten in the city's famous school Ann Mary for 23 years. The whole is grateful to you and welcomes you.

Basant Panchmi Celebrations

On Basant Panchami, everyone celebrated the worship of Goddess Saraswati with great enthusiasm. Sumit explained the importance of Basant Panchmi. After the story of incarnation of Maa Saraswati, everyone performed aarti and prasad of sweet rice was distributed to everyone.

 

75th Republic Day Celebration.

As usual, Sports Day was organized for children in Samagra on the occasion of 75th Republic Day. Gifts were distributed to the winning children. Children gave speeches, poems and told about our great freedom heroes.

Picnic Organized for Children

Samagra organised a picnic for Samagra’s children and staff. It was sponsored by Dr Neha Behel and Mrs &Poonam jointly. We hired 2 vans and went to a forest called Anand Van. It is 12 km far from our centre. Children enjoyed a lot. It is spread in acres in the safe surroundings. They got opportunity to identify wild animals, birds and trees. We organised some outdoor sports and distributed snacks and beverages. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.
