The Sunday support group meeting: about 10 or so young PWS got together. We practised a role play. The first attempt was rather cold and mechanical. Everyone observed the rules of good communication a little bit too much! Then, we did it again. And this time we went wild.. interjecting, interrupting, pushing each other etc. etc. The idea was to let the defences down, and make PWS talk in a real life situation, where they would be interrupted, questioned, criticised..A PWS girl and Mrs Jain (not a PWS), the new volunteer, were also there and this added a new level of difficulty for us.. By and large, everyone had fun, as evident from the feedback at the end.
