The SIHI 2011 reached Samagra on 3rd May. The group includes 5 girls and 3 boys from the McMaster University and they are staying at Samagra Dehradun. The group was welcomed by Mrs. Suchitra followed by an orientation and explaining of the itinerary of the program for next 20 days.
On May 4th the group had a discussion with Dr. Sachin and his team of 10 members consisting of stammerers. Dr. Sachin explained different methods of speech therapies and showed a few documentaries related to them.
On May 5th the group begun their day with yoga classes followed by shopping after breakfast. During evening Mr. Khanduri from GMVN trek division met the group and briefed them about the Har-Ki-Doon trek which the group will go for on May 31. Also the group did preparations for the upcoming trip to Rishikesh.
