15th August Independence Day & Rakshabandhan Celebrations in the Samagra
Children participated in the Rakhi
competition and made beautiful rackhis. Best 6 rakhis got the prize. It was
raining heavily but all the 40 children, staff and guests were present to
celebrate our 73rd Independence Day. We enjoyed speeches by Anamika
and Khusboo, anchoring by Saloni and Priya and dance performances by the
children. The guests expressed their feelings and the children felt encouraged by their remarks.
Mrs. Krishna Tuteja distributed
beautiful water bottles, Mrs. Mamta Khanduri, Mrs. Shakti Mittal and Samagra
arranged testy snacks for everyone. I am thankful to all of my friends, staff
and children for their participations.

27th July 2019. Making of fruits seed balls for project ‘Save Earth’
27th July 2019. Making of
fruits seed balls for project ‘Save Earth’
We concluded the first phase of our
project ‘Save Earth’. Children were
briefed last week to collect seeds of any fruit that they eat, dry them and
bring to Samagra. Once our seed bank was filled up, we organized the making of
balls. The children were highly excited and eager to participate. The seed
balls are now drying. In the coming week the children will be taken for a
nature walk by the side of some river for throwing the balls in appropriate
areas where we pray at least some seeds will grow into trees.
