22nd October 2022, Deepawali celebrations in Samagra
A colorful program for Deepawli was organized in collaboration with Lions Club (West). The children presented dance permormances, made rangolis and decorated by Samagra premises. We all lit the lamps and worshipped Luxmi and Ganesh Ji. Mrs. Suchitra Agarwal, Managing Trustee of Samagra, told the children the importance of Diwali. Mrs. Anju Aggarwal, who is helping voluntarily Samagra all the time, distributed sweets to all.
Training classes for sewing and cutting are being run by the Lions Club and its members distributed Diwali gifts to all the trainees.

8th Oct 2022, Sarees Distribution by Lions Club Dehradun (West )
Lions Club Dehradun (West) worked to increase the happiness of the coming festivals of Karva chauth and Chhatpuja by giving 35 beautiful sarees to the mothers of girls learning sewing and to the mummies of the children coming to study in Samagra.
Ma Sharda Devi's Tenth Death Anniversary
8th October is also a special day for SAMAGRA and all the families and children connected with it. On this day Ma Sharda Devi (wife of Suresh Chandra- Dada JI) left for her heavenly about. Every y ear we organize a function in the memory of the departed soul . This year the celebration was special because 10 year long have passed since she left us.
On this tenth death anniversary some special programs were organized. Pradeep Kumar, the founder of ‘Samagra’ organized a video conference on the night of 7th October. All the three families – Archna from Noida, Pradeep’s family from Canada and our family in Dehradun participated. Old memories of the mother were revived and some rare and quite old photographs were exhibited. We all remembered her very fondly.
In the afternoon a Yajna was performed by Shri Ved Vashu Shastri. Bhajans were sung and Bhoj was given to the Samagra children, staff and volunteers. All the children’s were given writing clip boards.

1st October, 2022, Bird Watching Session
Dr Raman Kumar and Riddhima Karwa from Nature Science Initiative a non-profit Organization conducted an excellent session with our children on Saturday.
The children were introduced to bird watching- getting them to observe the birds around them, their colors, behaviours and adaptations. We also identified some commonly seen birds which made the children very curious to know more about them.
