Mrs. Suchitra Agrawal did an activity to make children aware for their environment. She demonstrated making of Eco-friendly bricks with waste plastic bottles and single use plastic which is being thrown in the garbage.
She provided bottles and collected plastic carry bags to the children. They were amazed to see that 500 M.L. bottle can fit in 50-70 carry bags in it.
Children were motivated to do this activity with their friends and were promised to get gift on every eco- friendly brick.
Christmas celebration in Samagra was not a so grant event due to Covid - 19 guidelines but we celebrated it with a small group of children and Samagra's staff.
Children decorated Christmas tree, sang Carol. Santa came with chocolates and sweets and distributed among all of us.

Diwali preparations in Samagra: Though it is a tough time all over the world due to pandemic. But Samagra is in action since the May 2020. Following all the precautions, our women power has done good job. Here are some items prepared during Corona time.
We are happy to announce that one of our girl named Shreya completed her BPT (Batcher’s in Physiotherapy) program with honors and topped the college. I want to share her story! She came to us four year ago as she was feeling low due to her family circumstances. Mrs. Suchitra Agrawal took few sessions with her and got her admitted for the four years program.
It was sponsored by Samagra & another organization DHAD Dehradun. I want to thank Mrs. Diane (my Canadian friend) who paid here expenses on behalf of the Samagra.
Shreya visited me 1st October. She was overwhelmed and crying out of the gratitude. Now she has got registered for six month’s internship in a reputed hospital MAX.

Masi Maithani and Minakshi Tamta, our lovely and hard working girls who have been connected and sponsored by Samagra for last 6 years have completed their 10+2 recently.
Samagra is committed to be with them till they are professionally qualified.
So we have admitted them to a renowned paramedical college named Sai Group of Institutions, Dehradun for the three years program which is B. Sc in Medical Lab Technologies. This program will be sponsored by Samagra and DSS with the candidates partial contribution.
In the meantime T. R. Bhatt from Samagra is teaching them English typing so that they can do their job more efficiently.
5th September was a proud day for Samagra as Lions Club Dehradun (West) invited Mrs. Suchitra Agrawal as a chief guest to facilitated the Teacher's Day Celebration in a government school located in the Galjwadi village, a place with serene surroundings. Our esteemed volunteer English teacher Mrs.Mamta Khanduri was among other dedicated teachers from different schools who was selected from Samagra to honour for tutoring the needy girls. She is doing wonderful job to make girls proficient in English speaking and writing.
