Ms. Vishakha one of our respected teacher celebrated her birth day with Samagra children and staff. Children sang birthday songs and danced with their teacher. Vishakha threw a snack party for all.

Rotary Club Dehradun(west) selected Mrs. Suchitra Agarwal for Nation Builder Award 16.

Rotary Club Dehradun(west) selected Mrs. Suchitra Agarwal for Nation Builder Award 16. Felicitation ceremony was held in SunPark Hotel, Dehradun.

District Governor Mr Raman Aneja andADG Mr Sanjay Agarwal presented this award and declared her the Rotary Hero of Dehradun.

Before the selection, a team of Rotarions including Mrs &Mr Aneja and Mrs& Mr Agarwal visited Samagra , met children, teachers,staff and myself and Mrs. Suchitra Agarwal. They appreciated our work and promised to give their support.

‘AIPPENS’ THE FOLK ART OF UTTARAKHAND

These beautiful hand painted designs are called AIPPENS and these Aippens belong to the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand. This is a heritage art and every shape denotes some specific god or religious activity.

            These Aippens are special because they are made free hand. No tracing, screen or stencil is being used. Samagra is trying to preserve and spread awareness through training programs run by our expert painter Geets.

8th Sept. Rotary Club (West) distributed Stationery to Samagra Children

8^th Sept. 2016 was the International literacy day.  Rotary club west Dehradun selected ‘Samagra’ to celebrate it with. Samagra children sang welcome song and executive members of the club distributed some text books, which children needed and some very good activity books.

            Mr. Awasthi from DSSS distributed stationary and few T. shirts. Club members distributed tasty snacks to everybody present for this event. It was followed by high tea.

5th Sep. Teachers Day Celebrations

5^th September 2016

Samagra children celebrated teacher’s day and wished their teachers in their own style. They gave sweet compliments and expressed their respect through performances.

            Mrs. Suchitra Agarwal talked about the importance of a teacher in one’s life and presented them gifts as a token. It was followed by a snack party.

With Jijivisha Seva & Sanskar

On 3^rd Sept. 16, Samagra Trustee, Mrs. Suchitra Agrawal was honounred by a local club ‘Jijivisha’ for her work through Samagra in the field of Seva & Sanskar. This club which is founded by Mrs. Dolly Dabral, always try to honour the people who are silently serving the underprivileged section of the society and have played a significant role in their uliftment.
